Natwar Singh Passed Away: Former foreign minister of the country and veteran Congress leader Natwar Singh died late Saturday night at the age of 95. Natwar Singh, who was ill for a long time, breathed his last in a hospital in Gurgaon where he was undergoing treatment. Natwar Singh was an Indian diplomat and politician. His funeral will take place in Delhi today.

Natwar Singh was a resident of Bharatpur, Rajasthan. He was born on May 16, 1929 in Bharatpur. He served as Foreign Minister in the Manmohan Singh government from May 2004 to December 2005. His son Jagat Singh is currently a BJP MLA from Nadbai in Bharatpur. Natwar Singh's wife Heminder Kaur is Captain Amarinder Singh's sister.
Natwar Singh joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1953. He served as India's representative on the Executive Board of UNICEF. He served as India's ambassador to Poland (from 1971 to 1973) and Pakistan (from 1980 to 1982). Singh resigned from government job to contest elections. Natwar was also a Lok Sabha MP twice and a Rajya Sabha member once.
Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma has expressed his condolences on the death of the former Union Minister. He wrote in a post, 'The news of the death of former Foreign Minister of the Government of India, Padma Vibhushan awardee Ms. Natwar Singh ji is very sad. CM Bhajan Lal said that he prays to Lord Shri Ram to give a place to the departed soul in his lotus feet and give strength to the bereaved family in this hour of grief. After the news of Natwar Singh's death, condolence messages are continuously coming on social media.'
