Muzaffarpur News: Excise Department has taken massive action against liquor smugglers in the district. A large quantity of foreign liquor has been recovered in this operation by the department. Acting on a tip-off, the Excise Department cordoned off a truck near Jobi Devi under Deoria police station limits. During the raid, 109 cartons of foreign liquor were recovered from a special cellar built inside the truck. All three smugglers have been arrested from the spot. Excise department and police are taking action against liquor smugglers in the district. This important action has been taken based on confidential information received by the department. The truck had a special cellar. Through this, they carried the liquor bottles away from the eyes of the police. However, due to the vigilance of the department, his action did not succeed. The investigation is ongoing with the three arrested liquor shop owners. The police are busy gathering information about where the liquor was brought from and to whom it was sold. Inspector Manoj Kumar of the Liquor Prohibition Department said: Acting on a tip-off, the police stopped a truck and conducted an investigation. During the same investigation, 109 cartons of foreign liquor were recovered from the cellar inside the truck. Also, a car and three businessmen were arrested from the spot.
