Subsequently, investigation revealed that an employee of the factory was injured on the same day the ice cream was packed. Subsequently, the DNA of the employee and the finger on the ice cream were matched. A DNA test revealed that the part of the finger found on the ice cream belonged to the employee. Ice cream company's license suspended Food Safety Standards of India (FSSAI) has canceled the license of an ice cream manufacturing company to Yummo. The food safety regulator said that a team from FSSAI's western zone office inspected the ice cream maker's premises and its license has been temporarily cancelled. The company has assured its full cooperation with the investigation. This factory is sealed. After a complaint was lodged with the police, a case was registered against the company on charges of food adulteration and endangering human life. Arlem Brandon Serao, a 26-year-old doctor from Mumbai, has reported that his sister found her finger in an ice cream she ordered online. Dr Serao said he felt a solid piece in his mouth after eating half of it. I thought it might be a nut or piece of chocolate and spit it out to check what it was. He said, “I am a doctor, so I know what the body parts look like. When I examined it carefully, I saw that there were fingernails and fingerprints underneath. It looked like a sore thumb.
