Modi 3.0 Giriraj Singh from Lakhisarai, Parhiya became a cabinet minister in the Narendra Modi government at the Center for the third consecutive term. Giriraj Singh, 72, holds a bachelor's degree from Magadh University. He was a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly from 2002 to 2014. During this period, he handled several sectors including animal husbandry and fisheries resources, cooperation in the Bihar government. In May 2014, he was elected to the Lok Sabha for the first time from Navada Parliamentary Constituency. For the first time, he got the charge of Minister of State in the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Industries of the Central Government. In May 2019, he was elected to the Lok Sabha for a second term from the Begusarai parliamentary constituency. Former JNU Students' Union President Kanhaiya Kumar became popular after defeating him. This time he was given the charge of Cabinet Minister in the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Rural Development and Panchayat Raj. Giriraj was elected to the Lok Sabha for the third time in 2024 from Begusarai constituency. This time he defeated CBI's Abadesh Kumar Roy.
