He said that samples of various ponds were being taken to geocode Rehu from Mithila. Rehu from Mithila is in the process of getting GI mark. There is a possibility of getting a GI tag soon. He said that after Mithila gets Regu Geocode, farmers will get many new opportunities in its production and business. Farooqui, who arrived at Bahadurpur sub-division from the Fisheries Department on Saturday to review the Central and State Government schemes, said the schemes should be 100 per cent implemented on the ground and also monitored. During this, the Director inspected the District Fisheries Office and reviewed various schemes of the Central and State Governments. He also issued departmental orders. Apart from this, the Chief Secretariat Director conducted a site inspection of the projects being implemented under the Chief Minister's Integrated Development Plan and Fisheries Special Assistance Scheme in three constituencies of the district.
