Minister Alamgir Alam was detained in Birsa Munda jail and remanded for 13 days for interrogation

Ranchi: The custody of Alamgir Alam, who was arrested in the tender commission case, ended on Thursday. The enforcement department then produced him in the PMLA court. Enforcement Directorate sought court permission to send Minister Alamgir to Birsa Munda Jail. This was accepted by the court. He was subsequently lodged in Hodwar Jail under heavy security. The ED team remanded Minister Alamgir Alam for 13 days and interrogated him. According to the rules, the investigating agency can remand any accused for a maximum period of 14 days. He was arrested on May 15. It is noteworthy that the Enforcement Department arrested Minister Alamgir Alam after a long investigation in the tender commission case on May 15. During this period, he was unable to answer many questions during the ED's investigation. Earlier, the ED had raided the premises of Alamgir Alam's PS Sanjeev Lal and his aide in the case. A huge amount of money was recovered from there. Besides, ED has also recovered the diary in this regard. It revealed many things. It is noteworthy that IAS officer Manish Ranjan was also investigated. He declared himself innocent in front of the investigating officers. However, he too could not answer many questions. However, the ED has called him back for questioning on June 3. They were asked to appear with their movable and immovable properties. In the tender commission scam case, the ED first raided the premises of Rural Development Department Chief Engineer Brendra Ram last year. He is currently in jail.
