MG Gloster's special desert edition launched in the Indian market, know the price and features
Auto News Desk,MG Motor India has released a new teaser video of the upcoming Gloster 7-seater SUV, with the caption, “Time is passing and the storm is waiting.” This suggests that the company may introduce the new MG Gloster Desert Special Edition in the coming days. According to speculation, this could be the new 2024 MG Gloster facelift, which has been spotted several times during testing. The updated version of the SUV is expected to get a new front fascia, which will get a larger hexagonal grille with red accents and new split pattern headlamps.
Design and interiorThe side profile of the Gloster facelift will remain largely similar to the current model, although it is likely to get newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels, more refined wheel arches and more robust cladding. New LED taillamps connected via a light bar and an updated rear bumper will make it different from the current model.
Very few changes are likely to be made to its interior, including a slightly updated dashboard with an integrated large touchscreen infotainment system, a new center console with updated switchgear, and redesigned AC vents. If the upcoming model is the MG Gloster Desert Edition, it is likely to get design elements like the MG Gloster Black Storm Edition. The special edition may get a new interior theme and 'Desert Edition' badging on the dashboard and seat headrests. Along with this, some cosmetic improvements will also be made. The MG Gloster Desert Edition is likely to be offered in a new color scheme.
Engines and competitionWhether it is the new 2024 MG Gloster facelift or the new special edition, both will use 2.0L diesel and 2.0L twin-turbo diesel engines, which output 161bhp with 375Nm and 215bhp with 480Nm respectively. MG's Gloster three-row SUV currently competes with SUVs like Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq. While the price of the facelift model may increase marginally.
