Maulana Taugheer Raza canceled Nikah and conversion ceremony
Maulana Taugheer Raza of Bareilly, UP has hit back, saying he was facilitating the conversion and marriage of Hindu boys and girls. On July 21, permission was sought from the district administration for marriage and conversion of 5 Hindu couples, but it was not received. After that, he canceled the marriage. After Maulana Taugheer Raza's statement, the police said that strict action would be taken if anyone tried to spoil the atmosphere by organizing any event without the permission of the administration. Maulana Taughir Raza had announced on Monday that he would conduct marriages of young men and women who had converted from Hindus to Muslims. In the first phase, 5 couples will be married. In this, young men and women will end their conversion and unite with each other. For this he had sought permission for a grand Nikah ceremony held at Khalil High School. A Muslim religious leader from Sambal protested and termed the event as against Sharia. In this matter, Bareilly SSP Anurag Arya said: An application has been made to the city magistrate seeking permission for a marriage ceremony related to religious conversion. Maulana Tauqeer Raza had said that no one would be allowed to play with law and order. Strict action will be taken if programs are held without the permission of the district administration. Maulana Taugheer had said that he had received applications from about 23 young men and women who had converted to their religion for marriage. They include 8 boys and 15 girls. Their relationship was already decided. Their marriage should be performed and the work of conversion should be completed.
