Kalki 2898 AD movie registered a good Monday in India, taking the total five-day collection to near the benchmark of Rs 343.6 crore net at the Box Office. The Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi movie saw a substantial drop after its first weekend which hasn’t been the case with many other Bollywood biggies at the ticket window. After going strong on day 1 with Rs 95.3 crore, day 2 with Rs 59.3 crore, day 3 with Rs 66.2 crore, day 4 with Rs 88.2 crore and day 5 with Rs 34.6 crore. On Monday, Kalki 2898 AD earned Rs 34.6 crore, despite the shows going houseful. From the Hindi language, the Prabhas starrer earned the maximum – Rs 16.5 crore, Rs 14.5 crore from Telugu language, Rs 2 crore from Tamil and Rs 1.3 crore from Malayalam, as reported trade website sacnilk. As the film nears Rs 600 crore worldwide, there is a buzz that this Nag Ashwin directorial would have similar numbers for day 6 i.e. Tuesday. But we can say the film has passed the Monday test as the total collection of Kalki 2898 AD is Rs 343.6 crore in India and over Rs 560 crore worldwide. The film has already become Prabhas’ one of the biggest openers after beating Saaho and Lettuce.

The epic dystopian sci-fi action drama, directed by Nag Ashwin, is marching towards Rs 600 crore mark at the global box office in its first week. After performing superbly well in first four days, Kalki 2898 AD saw a dip of 60% in its total collections. The earnings on the first Monday were Rs 34.6 crore.
