Manish Sisodia did not get relief from the court in the Delhi Excise Policy case. After hearing the case, the Rouse Avenue Court has extended the judicial custody period of Sisodia till July 3. Now the next hearing in this case will be on July 3.

Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh appeared in court on Friday through video conferencing. Rouse Avenue Court directed ED to give a copy of the charge sheet filed against Sanjay Singh and K Kavita to the accused.
A day earlier, a Delhi court on Thursday extended Manish Sisodia's judicial custody till July 6 in the alleged excise policy scam being investigated by the CBI. Recently, the Delhi High Court also refused to grant bail to Manish Sisodia in this case. A bench of Justice Swarn Kant Sharma had said that the applicant failed to fulfill the necessary conditions under the triple test and Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002 for granting bail in the corruption case.

The High Court had also said that Manish Sisodia can continue to meet his ailing wife every week on the basis of conditions laid down by the trial court. Let us tell you that in March 2024, the Supreme Court also rejected Sisodia's curative petitions. In its decision given on October 30, 2023, the Supreme Court refused to grant bail to Manish Sisodia. It also said that if the trial progresses at a slow pace in the next 3 months, then he can apply for bail afresh.
After that, on April 30, 2024, Special Judge Kaveri Baveja of Rouse Avenue Court refused to grant bail to Manish Sisodia, who was seeking regular bail for the second time.
