Man gets refuge in God after many births: Pandit Vedanta Maharaj
Musical Bhagwat Katha is being organized in the premises of the ancient Kalimata temple of Maharajpur city. Katha Vyas Pandit Vedanta Shastri, who came from Vrindavan Dham, performed the aarti of Lord Bhagwat as per the rituals on Friday, the second day of the Katha. After this, the story of Sukdev’s character was narrated in detail and all the devotees present in the courtyard were awestruck.
While narrating the story of Sukdev Dhundhakari, Katha Vyas Vedanta Maharaj told that mother is the mother and if the mother wants, she can make her child good or bad because the child spends most of his time with his mother. If a child makes a mistake, he can correct it by stopping it or he can make it worse by ignoring it.
Further in the story, Pandit Vedanta explains that humans attain knowledge and renunciation from Shrimad Bhagwat Katha. Shrimad Bhagwat Katha shows the purpose and direction in life, hence it is said that just by listening to Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, a person attains salvation and gets a place at the feet of God. Pandit Vedanta Maharaj tells that Dhundhakari had committed many sins in his life, but he was saved after listening to Shrimad Bhagwat Katha.
On the banks of Tungabhadra river, there lived a Brahmin named Atmadev, who was a great scholar. The biggest sorrow of Atmadev was that he had no children. Once he went to the forest and met a sage, he told his plight to the sage, then the sage gave him a fruit and told him to feed it to his wife Dhunduli. But, his wife did not eat the fruit herself and fed it to the cow. After some time the cow gave birth to a child, who was in the form of a human being and was named Gokarna. At the same time, Dhundhli’s sister gave her a son, who was named Dhundhkari. Of the two sons, Gokarna turned out to be knowledgeable and a scholar, but Dhundhli turned out to be evil and mischievous. He started stealing in his life, he started hurting others. Started, saddened by this, father Atmadev left the house and went to the forest.
