Mahindra Reveals New Colour Option For Thar & Scorpio – All Details Here
Mahindra launched the first generation of the Thar back in 2010 and launched the 2nd generation of the Thar in 2020 which is currently still sold in the Indian domestic market.
The Scorpio on the other hand was launched back in 2002 and is currently running on its 5th generation of the Scorpio also known as the Scorpio Chassic currently available in India along with the Scorpio N which is a more luxurious experience.
Currently, the Mahindra Thar is Sold in Red Rage, Deep Grey, Desert Fury and Everest White, whereas the Scorpio is sold in Molten Red Rage, Galaxy Grey and Everest White. Now, the Thar and the Scorpio will both be offered in Stealth Black.
When compared to Mahindra’s original black colour, the “Napoli Black”, the new “Stealth Black” is not very different went visually considered. Meaning it is likely that Mahindra has just renamed its colour.
Mahindra currently sells only a 3-door variant of the Thar but is in the road testing phase of a 5-door variant as indicated by spy shots, expected to be launched later this year. Expected to be direct competition to the Maruti Suzuki Jimny released last year.
Mahindra has priced the Scorpio Classic SUV starting at Rs 13.59lakh (ex-showroom) for the base model and going up to Rs 17.35lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end model. The Thar has a starting price of Rs 11.25lakhs (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 17.60lakhs(ex-showroom).
