Lok Sabha Election Results 2024: The Left Front, which has ruled Bengal for 34 consecutive years, was expected to win some seats in this election. To win, it formed alliances with the Congress in many places. CPI(M) State Secretary Mohd. The party fielded Salim in Murshidabad constituency. He also campaigned vigorously with the Congress. His victory was also much talked about in the political circles. But in the course of electoral victories, initially he was leading, but later he fell behind. He got 41.57 percent votes. Congress came second in this election. BJP was third. Trinamool seems to be strengthening its grip on this minority-dominated constituency.
