Election Results 2024: New Delhi Lok Sabha seat is considered a high profile hot seat among the seven Lok Sabha seats of the capital Delhi. BJP candidate Bansuri Swaraj is pitted against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) senior leader Somnath Bharti on New Delhi Lok Sabha seat. Bansuri Swaraj is the daughter of late BJP leader and former foreign minister Sushma Swaraj. This time, like the other 6 seats of Delhi, BJP has fielded Bansuri Swaraj by cutting the ticket of BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi for the last 10 years. Bansuri Swaraj is contesting Lok Sabha elections for the first time. There is an alliance between Congress and AAP in the capital. In this regard, the contest here is considered very interesting.
According to the Election Commission data, the lowest polling in the capital this time was recorded at 55.43 per cent in New Delhi seat, where BJP's Bansuri Swaraj was contesting against AAP's Somnath Bharti.
In this election of 2024, there are a total of 14,81,338 voters in New Delhi Lok Sabha seat. These include 8,08,721 male voters, 6,72,554 female voters and 73 third gender voters. In the year 2019, there were a total of 16,17,470 voters here. If we look at the current and last time figures, there is a decrease of 1,36,132 voters this time.
BJP candidate Bansuri Swaraj is leading AAP candidate Somnath Bharti by 47700 votes in New Delhi Lok Sabha seat. Bansuri Swaraj is leading with 313848 votes. Somnath Bharti is at second place with 265394 votes. At the same time, former minister Rajkumar Anand, who left Aam Aadmi Party and joined BSP, could get only 3912 votes.

BJP candidate Yogendra Chandolia is leading over Congress' Udit Raj in the North-West Delhi Lok Sabha seat. BJP candidate Ramveer Singh Bidhuri is leading over his nearest rival Aam Aadmi Party's Sahi Ram in the South Delhi Lok Sabha seat. BJP candidate Kamaljeet Sehrawat is leading over his nearest rival Aam Aadmi Party's Mahabal Mishra in the West Delhi Lok Sabha seat. BJP's Manoj Tiwari is leading over his nearest rival Congress' Kanhaiya Kumar in the North-East Delhi Lok Sabha seat.
On the Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha seat, Praveen Khandelwal of BJP is leading over his nearest rival J P Agarwal of Congress, while on the East Delhi Lok Sabha seat, Harsh Malhotra of BJP is leading over his nearest rival Kuldeep Kumar of Aam Aadmi Party. On the New Delhi Lok Sabha seat, Bansuri Swaraj of BJP is leading over her nearest rival Somnath Bharti of Aam Aadmi Party.
