Liquor scam: Kejriwal's troubles rise again, court orders ED's chargesheet
The Roose Avenue court has ordered Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to appear on July 12 in the liquor scam case in Delhi. Special Judge Kaveri Bhaveja passed the order accepting the supplementary charge sheet of the Enforcement Directorate. The ED filed a supplementary chargesheet in this regard on May 17. In this, the investigation agency has blamed the Aam Aadmi Party and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21. He has been remanded in judicial custody since then. The court also took cognizance of the supplementary chargesheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate against Vinod Chauhan and directed him to appear on July 12. The Aam Aadmi Party's reaction when the ED indicted the Aam Aadmi Party also came to light. Aam Aadmi Party National Secretary Pankaj Gupta said that BJP wants to eliminate Aam Aadmi Party and said that BJP wants to eliminate Aam Aadmi Party anyway. Central government is plotting a big conspiracy against Aam Aadmi Party. Till date ED has not been able to recover even a single rupee of corruption. Meanwhile, in the ED chargesheet, Aam Aadmi Party chief national spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar said the trial court had proved Arvind Kejriwal innocent, but the Supreme Court had stayed the order. Their best effort is to stop the work of Aam Aadmi Party. Therefore, he is placed under the PMLA Act. The Delhi High Court, which will hear the bail plea on the 17th, has sent a notice to the CBI to respond to the bail plea of Arvind Kejriwal, who is lodged in Tihar Jail in the liquor scam case. The High Court will hear the case on July 17. CBI should file a reply before this. The bench also made important observations during the hearing. The court asked Kejriwal's lawyers not to disturb the higher judiciary when alternatives are available as petitions continue to be filed in the Supreme Court and the High Court.
