Liquor scam case: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to appear in court virtually on July 12
The ED has filed the seventh additional chargesheet in the money laundering case related to the alleged corruption in Delhi's excise policy. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party members have been accused of this. After hearing the chargesheet, the court ordered Kejriwal, who is lodged in Tihar jail, to appear before the court on July 12. In this regard, a petition was filed on his behalf to appear in virtual mode. The court accepted this. In its charge sheet, the Enforcement Directorate has said that Kejriwal, who is the patron of the Aam Aadmi Party, is responsible for every act of the party. Aam Aadmi Party is a major beneficiary of proceeds of crime. Of the Rs 100 crore bribe received from the southern lobby, the Aam Aadmi Party used Rs 45 crore in the Goa elections. Therefore, Aam Aadmi Party, like a corporation, is guilty of this offense under Section 70 of PMLA. Hence, 'Aam Aadmi' is also accused in the charge sheet. The court summoned Mathur on July 12. Earlier, the ED had also accused Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party in the charge sheet filed on May 17. The court also took up the agency's eighth charge sheet. Ashish Mathur and Vinod Chauhan have been accused. The court has issued a summons to Mathur on July 12. Vinod Chauhan has also been issued a production warrant on the same day. Aam Aadmi Party National Secretary Pankaj Gupta alleged that ED was acting like a political wing of BJP and that the Center was plotting a big conspiracy against his party. BJP wants to destroy our party anyway. The ED functions as the political arm of the BJP. The reason for this is that the Aam Aadmi Party sees the BJP as a major threat to it. BJP has deployed ED and CBI to destroy AAP.
