Like Shikshamitras, ad-hoc teachers will also get 11 months’ honorarium, instructions issued regarding adjustment
2254 ad-hoc teachers dismissed from the state’s aided secondary schools will be reappointed on 11 months’ honorarium like Shiksha Mitras. In line with the decision taken recently in the UP Cabinet, Special Secretary Krishna Kumar Gupta on Monday sent detailed instructions to the Director of Secondary Education regarding the adjustment of these ad-hoc teachers. Upon new appointment, their names will also be changed to honorarium teachers. Ad-hoc teachers will get appointment till the retirement age of 62 years.
The honorarium of honorarium teachers will be paid as per the instructions issued by the manager from time to time. Honorarium teachers will get 12 days of casual and 17 days of medical leave in a session (maximum 11 months). Apart from this, no other leave will be given. Honorarium will not be paid if work is not done in the period other than the prescribed leave.
Termination of service if the average result is less than 50%
The service can be terminated if the result of the subject taught by the honorarium teachers is less than 50 percent of the average result of three years of UP Board. Apart from this, the service can be terminated in case of lack of satisfactory discipline, involvement in criminal activities, withdrawal of consent to work, not following guidelines, hiding facts, continuous absence for a month. If the state government wants, it can end the system of honorarium teachers at any time.
Divisional level committee will do the selection
A divisional level committee will be constituted for examining the school determination of ad-hoc teachers etc. in view of the minimum functional requirement and justification of teaching in aided colleges. The divisional Joint Director of Education will be the chairman of the committee, while the concerned District School Inspector will be the Member Secretary. The divisional Deputy Director of Education (Secondary) and the divisional Finance and Accounts Officer will be the members. For placing them in schools outside the division, a committee will be constituted under the chairmanship of Additional Director of Education (Secondary). Joint Director of Education (Finance) and Deputy Director of Education (Secondary) will be its members.
Specific
In case of accidental death, no service related benefits will be payable to the deceased dependent.
Claim for permanent appointment or regularization on the basis of honorarium payment will not be accepted.
