Giriraj Singh said, “China has hoisted the flag of development in the world. A big reason for this is that it introduced the one child policy. If China had not introduced the one child policy, there would have been 60 crore more people in this world. India has become the most populous country in the world today and 20 percent of the world’s population is here.” The Union Minister said that today there is a shortage of land in the country, there is a shortage of drinking water for the people. Increasing population is a challenge.
Therefore, just like China made a law to control the population, we also need it. We should make such a strict law that the citizens who do not follow it should be denied the right to vote and should be deprived of government facilities. He further said that today there are 147 districts in the country where the population is increasing rapidly. The reason for this is that the fertility rate of Hindu women is low and that of Muslim women is high. Therefore, there is a need to bring a strict law regarding population control in the country today.
