Know the significance of the birth anniversary of ‘Varaha Avatar’, one of the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu

Every year ‘Varaha Jayanti’ (Varaha Jayanti 2024) is celebrated on the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. Method of worship
On this day, after taking bath in the morning, first of all, bathe the idol or statue of Lord Varah with Gangajal. Apply tilak with yellow sandalwood and offer Akshat, flowers, fruits, sweets etc. and perform Aarti. After worshiping, tell the story of his incarnation. After this, chant the mantra of Lord Varah “Namo Bhagwate Varaharupay Bhubhuvarva: Swa: Syatpate Bhupatitvam Dehyetadpay Swaha”.
