Details of the cause of the accident are not yet clear. Rescue teams have recovered the bodies of 18 crew members and passengers. The pilot of the plane, Captain Manish Shakya, 37, has been rescued and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Sinamangal.
According to media reports, the plane named Mitsubishi CRJ-200ER slipped off the runway during takeoff and caught fire. The report said that many technical staff were also on board the plane when this accident occurred.
