Kamala Harris: Kamala Harris has secured enough votes to become the US Presidential candidate

Kamala Harris : Indian-American Vice President Kamala Harris was on Friday declared the ruling Democratic Party's 2024 presidential nominee after she secured enough votes from Democratic delegates in a virtual roll call. Harris, 59, will take on Republican presidential nominee and former President Donald Trump, 78, in the November 5 general elections.

US Vice President Kamala Harris has secured enough votes from party delegates to become the presidential candidate from the Democratic Party. Kamala wrote on X, I am feeling honored… I will formally accept the nomination next week. It is worth noting that earlier US President Joe Biden was in the race to become the candidate of the Democratic Party.
“I am very proud to confirm that Vice President Harris has won a majority of votes from all convention delegates and that she will be the Democratic Party’s nominee once voting is over,” Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison said following a virtual roll call of elected delegates across the country.
