J&K: Vistara Airlines flight bombed, lands safely at Srinagar airport
Bomb threat received on Vistara Airlines flight from Delhi to Srinagar. After receiving the threat, the plane landed safely at Srinagar Airport. There were a total of 178 passengers on board. When Air Traffic Control (ATC) received a 'threat call' to Srinagar, the CISF took immediate action and closed the airport for a while. Vistara Airlines flight UK611 landed safely. According to the information given by the airport official, when the plane was checked, nothing was found in it. The threat was deemed fake and airport operations resumed as usual. As per safety protocol, all the passengers were safely evacuated after the plane landed. The entire aircraft was then thoroughly inspected. The test operation lasted for about two hours. During this entire incident, all flight operations at Srinagar airport were suspended. However, it is not yet known where the phone call came from. Officials are investigating the source of the bomb threat and are taking all measures to ensure the safety of air travel. Investigation in 'Isolation Bay': Immediately after landing, the aircraft was taken to 'Isolation Bay' as per airport protocol. In fact, it is a part of the airport where, in case of emergency, the aircraft is parked separately from other aircraft. Vistara aircraft has been stopped here for testing. Due to security concerns, other flights arriving at Srinagar airport were also diverted during this period. The runway was also closed for a few hours.
