Japan government banned the use of floppy disks, know the reason…

The Japanese government has finally stopped using floppy disks in all its systems. The Japanese government had been using floppy disks for the past two decades and had been trying to stop its use in bureaucracy for a long time. Last month, the Japanese government stopped using disks in all its 1034 regulation governing bodies.
Started after the formation of digital agency
Japan's Digital Minister Taro Kono said that 'we won the war against floppy disks on June 28'. Taro Kono has been quite vocal against the use of fax machines and analog technology in the government system. A digital agency was formed in Japan in 2021 during the Corona epidemic. When testing and vaccination started across the country, it was found that the government was still running on the old track and old technology was being used there. Kono vocally demanded modernization of the government system. Earlier, Kono has led the defense and foreign ministries as well as the campaign to administer the COVID vaccine.
Japan's digitization effort has faced several hurdles, though. A contact-tracing app failed during the pandemic and adoption of the government's My Number digital identity card has been much slower than expected amid repeated data glitches.
