ITR: The Income Tax Department has issued a notification regarding people planning to go abroad. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has clarified a provision in the Income Tax Act, 1961, specifically Section 230, which states that taxpayers must obtain permission from the department before traveling outside the country. This rule highlights the importance of following tax laws and ensuring compliance before embarking on international travel. Failure to obtain consent may result in fines or other consequences. It is important that individuals understand and follow this instruction to avoid any problems with the Income Tax Department. Approval will be given in special circumstances.
