It is easy to become a Bihari girl, but difficult to shoot in Patna, says Arista Mehta.
Arista Mehta has been a part of several TV shows and web series including Night Manager and Sharma Ji's daughter is in the news these days for Sony Liv's show Arista Bihari Woman Nandini Sinha talks to Urmila Khori about the preparation, challenges and career for this character. Nandini Sinha is a resident of Patna. In such a situation, I had to work a little on his language. It became a habit again that I had to pay special attention to it when she was speaking, not saying 'I', but speaking in the language I speak, for a few days during the shoot, when I spoke my dialogue. How is the role of Nandini related to you? Nandini is a very caring girl. She cares for everyone very much. He also excels in studies. Talking about our similarities, Nandini and I are of the same age, I am also very fond of animals (laughs) and I am not as fast in studies as Nandini. How was the experience of shooting with actor Murali Rao? He is a good actor and as an actor I have come to the set and rehearsed many times and you can learn a lot from him. It's your first show where you're the face, so is there a lot of pressure? Yes, a lot of hard work has been done, but it is the hard work of the entire team. Well, the story of the show is very sweet and I think it will connect everyone. Is the show set in Patna, where the shooting took place? Yes, 8 to 10 days of shooting took place in Patna as well. Most of our shooting was outdoors and we shot in April. It was so hot that my actor Murali Rao fell ill. As my hectic schedule did not allow me enough sleep, I preferred to go to hotels and sleep. It is a romantic show, what is your favorite love story and actor? Talking about the romantic hero, I think there can be no other name than Shahrukh sir. Tell us about your background? I am from Shimla. Six years ago, because of my father's business, my family was busy with acting. I didn't plan. Mummy acted in an ad film, but becoming a doctor was not my dream. My father made a condition that I would complete my degree even if I was average in my studies. No matter what happens, I will not drop my studies, so we decided to complete my studies only through home schooling as I could not study in regular college as I had attendance problem in 10th board exam as well. What made me famous after that show was that my grandmother was concerned that I didn't get hit by being thrown from a great height in my death scene. You have been acting since the age of ten, do you miss anything? In the beginning I missed my friends' birthday parties while shooting and it was my career, so I had to focus on that. How do you deal with rejection at such a young age? My luck is that I got very less rejections, my mom's attitude from the first day exam till now, after my graduation it won't happen I am working on a web series but can't say much about it now. — The post Arista Mehta says it's easy to become a Bihari girl, shooting in Patna was difficult.
