IPL 2024 Team Wise Most Expensive Players: Four overseas players in ‘costly’ list

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) broke the bank for the left-arm fast bowler, and eyes will be on him throughout the tournament which starts from March 22.

Pat Cummins had also momentarily become the most expensive player in IPL history after Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) bought him for Rs 20.50 crore in the IPL 2024 auction. Starc broke his Australia captain’s record moments later.

 

The cash-rich league has time and again been in news for splashing money on the superstars of the game. The amount of money offered to cricketers in IPL is mind-boggling and way ahead of what players are offered in different T20 leagues.

The seventeenth edition of the IPL will start with defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Chepauk in Chennai on Friday, March 22.

BCCI has announced the schedule for the first 21 matches, and is expected to announce the remaining schedule soon. The board was waiting for the Election Commission of India (ECI) to announce election dates. BCCI secretary Jay Shah has confirmed that all the matches will be held in India despite the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
