IPL 2024: CSK Captain MS Dhoni Joins Chennai Super Kings Training In Chepauk – WATCH VIDEO

Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni joined the team’s practice session on Thursday for the first time ahead of the upcoming session.

Displaying his vintage hair look, Dhoni spent a reasonable time at the nets at the Chepauk Stadium. Seated at the back side of the team bus, Dhoni also waved at the fans on its way to the stadium. For the unknown, Dhoni is only the second captain after Rohit Sharma to win five IPL titles.

Dhoni, who led CSK to their fifth title last year, immediately underwent an operation on his knee in Mumbai after IPL 2023. On Thursday, the former India captain looked completely fit with no signs of discomfort as he took the field with two bats on his hands.

Last week, Dhoni was seen attending the pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar in Gujarat. He was there for the whole event from March 1 to 3, before flying to Chennai on Wednesday.

CSK are amongst the first teams to start their preparations for IPL 2024. Prominent names like Deepak Chahar, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Simarjeet Singh have already joined the camp that started on March 2. Earlier during the auctions, CSK didn’t some wise shopping as they got the likes of Kiwi duo of Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell. They also got India all-rounder Shardul Thakur before paying a hefty amount for uncapped batter Sameer Rizvi.
