IPL 2024: Aakash Chopra backs Rachin Ravindra to be the MVP for CSK in upcoming season
Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra wants Rachin Ravindra to perform brilliantly for Chennai Super Kings and said that he could be their most valuable player in the tournament.
CSK will lock horns with RCB in their tournament opener at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on 22nd March.
The franchise suffered a huge blow after New Zealand opener Devon Conway got injured and is all but ruled out of the tournament till May. He was CSK’s highest run-getter, as he scored 672 runs after playing in 16 matches at an average of 51.69 and a strike rate of 139.70 and he also smashed six fifties. He was the third-highest run-getter of the tournament and was behind Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill.
During an interaction on his YouTube channel, Chopra said that CSK won’t be affected by Conway’s absence since they have Rachin Ravindra in their squad. The franchise bought him for a whopping amount of Rs. 1.80 crores at the 2024 IPL auction held in Decem ber last year.

“I still feel this team will be fine because they do something and find someone. Here they hadalready kept an amazing player in the form of Rachin Ravindra as his (Conway’s) backup. He had a very good World Cup and he scored runs in Tests also recently. He is in the form of his life,” Chopra was quoted as saying on his Youtube channel.
