Indian employees keep job security, positive work culture at front, says report
Areport released on Wednesday reveals that job security, a positive work environment, and regular feedback rank high among the priorities for employees in India.
This insight is studied by Mercer’s 2024 Global Talent Trends, which incorporates feedback from over 500 employees across Indian organizations.
Globally, the report undertook insights from more than 12,200 individuals, including C-suite executives, HR leaders, employees, and investors across 17 regions and 16 industries.
Measures to achieve employee welfare
Mercer highlighted that regular feedback is particularly valued by Indian workers, with 50 percent of respondents affirming its importance, surpassing the global average of 42 percent.
Additionally, the report indicates that job security and a positive work culture are primary reasons for Indian employees to remain with their current employers, cited by 37 percent and 36 percent of respondents, respectively.
Regarding employee well-being, nearly half (49 percent) of Indian respondents emphasised the significance of well-being offerings, such as work tailored for employee welfare, surpassing the global average of 43 percent.
