In the bullion market, gold fell by Rs 700 and silver by Rs 2000

Gold price: There is good news for gold and silver buyers. Gold prices fell by Rs 700 per 10 grams due to fall in prices of precious metals globally. There has been a huge fall in the price of silver up to Rs.2000 per kg. Gold prices fell by Rs 700 to Rs 73,500 per 10 grams at Delhi's bullion market on Monday, September 9, 2024, according to data provided by the All India Bullion Association (AIPA). Due to this, the price of gold on Friday was Rs.74,200 per 10 grams. Like gold, silver prices fell by Rs 2,000 to Rs 83,800 per kg. The price of silver was Rs 85,800 per kg. Meanwhile, 99.5% pure gold fell by Rs 500 to Rs 73,350 per 10 gm against the previous closing price of Rs 73,850. The US employment data has added to investor skepticism, said Chaumil Gandhi, senior commodity analyst at HDFC Securities. Manav Modi, Senior Commodity Research Analyst at Motilal Oswal Financial Services, said gold prices fell over the weekend. These include the Producer Price Index (PPI) to predict the next move on inflation and Federal Reserve interest rates. In the futures market too, gold prices fell by Rs 125 to Rs 71,300 per 10 grams as demand from speculators eased. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the contract for October delivery fell by Rs 125, or 0.18%, to Rs 71,300 per 10 grams. Out of which 14,825 loads were traded. In the international market, gold was down 0.38% at $2,488.05 an ounce in New York. This resulted in Rs.82,873 per kg. On the MCX, the silver contract for delivery in December rose by Rs 116, or 0.14%, to Rs 82,873 per kg. Out of which 32,917 loads were traded.
