IMD rainfall warning: There will be heavy rain in these states for seven days; Know the weather conditions
IMD rainfall Alert: A good news has emerged amid the ongoing heat wave across the country including North India. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in many states including UP in the coming days. This will provide relief from heat. The Meteorological Department has said that the heat wave will continue in Eastern India even today and it may reduce after that. At the same time, a warning of heavy rain has been issued in many areas of the North-Eastern states till May 7.
Talking about the weather of the last 24 hours, heat wave conditions were recorded in areas like Gangetic West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Interior Karnataka etc. The highest temperature in Nandyal area of Rayalaseema was 46 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is going to be light to moderate rain in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura for the next seven days. Apart from this, there is also a possibility of storm and lightning. There is a possibility of very heavy rain in Arunachal Pradesh on 5 and 6 May, Assam, Meghalaya on 7 May, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura on 5 to 7 May.
Talking about southern states, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana will receive light to moderate rain for the next five days.
Talking about North India, a new western disturbance is going to hit from May 9, due to which the weather will change in many states. There will be light to moderate rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh on 5th and 6th May, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on 5th to 8th May. At the same time, there will be light to moderate rain in Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab and East Rajasthan on 9-11 May. At the same time, rain alert has been issued in Uttar Pradesh from 7th to 11th May i.e. for five days. Strong winds have also been predicted in UP for five days.
