New Delhi:- Although green vegetables are beneficial for health. But the rainy season is such that eating many green vegetables can prove to be dangerous for health. Actually, bacteria become more active in the rain. There is a high risk of infection in this season. There are some green and leafy vegetables which can make you sick if eaten. So know in this article which vegetables should be avoided in the rainy season.
Botany expert Dr Vikas Sharma said that eating green and leafy vegetables is beneficial for health. But rainy season is such a season in which some vegetables can make you sick, so you should avoid eating these vegetables.
Avoid leafy vegetables and greens
Humidity increases during rainy season, due to which we should avoid eating leafy vegetables like spinach, red vegetables, different vegetables grown in different regions and cabbage. Because due to high moisture in them, bacteria and disease causing germs grow quickly. These cannot be removed even after washing the vegetables normally and then they reach our stomach through food which harms us. Avoid leafy vegetables
Vegetables grown underground will upset your stomach
During the rainy season, one should avoid eating vegetables that grow underground, such as radish, carrot, beetroot, arbi and cabbage. Because of continuous rain, the moisture in the soil increases and the soil remains filled with water. Due to which root vegetables absorb more bacteria and germs directly. After eating them, most of the stomach diseases occur. Most of the time people suffer from vomiting, loose motions and diarrhea after eating them.
Eating cabbage and mushrooms is also not free from danger
During the rainy season, cabbage, broccoli and mushrooms are most likely to have bacteria as well as caterpillars and insects. This is because these vegetables have more cracks and the germs, bacteria and caterpillars that crawl on the ground make their home in them. Due to which eating them is dangerous. Not only this, due to the presence of more insects, farmers often spray pesticides on them, which increases the risk further.
