Brahmaputra and Barak rivers are flowing beyond the danger level. Barak river water has started entering many districts of Assam. Amit Shah spoke to the Chief Ministers of these states and took stock of the situation. The government said it is monitoring the situation. Mizoram Government announces compensation The Mizoram government has announced that a compensation of Rs 4 lakh each will be given to the families of the victims of Ramal cyclone In Meghalaya, hundreds of houses have collapsed and many reservoirs have been inundated. Cyclone Remal has also caused major damage to the railway network in the northeastern states. However, the impact of Cyclone Ramal will gradually decrease, said the Meteorological Department.
