Auto News Desk,Recently another new spy picture of Hyundai Creta EV has surfaced. It has been seen at a charging station in Pune, Maharashtra. This spy shot has revealed a feature in it, which can be introduced with its production spec model.
Will get 360-degree camera setupThe new Creta EV seen was heavily camouflaged. But a glimpse of a blind-spot monitor is visible on its mirror, which suggests that it could get a 360-degree camera setup. It will compete with the upcoming Maruti EVX. Previous spy pictures have also confirmed an ADAS suite, which is likely to be a Level 2 setup similar to its ICE model.
Design ElementsWhile other major design changes are not yet known, we expect new wheels with aero inserts. The fuel filler cap is likely to house an EV charging port. The car is also said to get EV-specific inserts as colourful highlights.
Powertrain and Competition
The powertrain of the Hyundai Creta Electric could be a 50-60kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor, which will be capable of delivering a range of up to 500 kilometres on a single full charge. Once launched, it will compete with the upcoming Maruti eVX, Honda Elevate EV and derivatives of Toyota's eVX. The Maruti eVX will be the company's first electric offering in India, which has been spotted several times during testing on Indian roads. It will be offered in a 5-seater configuration. Maruti has confirmed that the eVX will get a 60 kWh battery pack with a dual-motor setup and will be capable of delivering a range of up to 550 kilometres.
