Honda Amaze with advanced features will be available for just Rs 8 lakh
Obnews Automobile Desk: Honda Cars India has today launched the 2024 Honda Amaze. Its starting price has been kept at Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom). Whereas, the price of the top model is Rs. 10.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This is the most affordable car in the country, which has Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) – Honda Sensing.
Honda's ADAS-focused portfolio
Every Honda model in India, be it the City mid-size sedan, the elevated SUV or the new Amaze, all have ADAS. Honda is the only carmaker in India to have a complete portfolio equipped with ADAS.
third generation amaze
The 2024 Honda Amaze is the third generation model of this sedan. It was first launched in 2013 and the second generation came in 2018. Till now, 5.80 lakh units of Amaze have been sold. The company claims that Amaze contributes 40% to its total sales.
Powertrain and mileage
The new Amaze has the same 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder SOHC i-VTEC petrol engine, which generates 90PS power and 110Nm torque. It has 5-speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox options. Talking about mileage, CVT variant gives 19.46 kmpl and MT variant gives 18.65 kmpl.

Features and design updates
The 2024 Amaze has new LED projector headlamps, LED fog lamps and wing-style LED taillamps. It also gets 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The cabin has a dual-tone beige and black theme, and the second row offers better legroom and comfort.
Smart and Connected Car
It has features like 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, semi-digital instrument cluster, wireless charger, and PM2.5 air purifier. 37+ connected features and 5 years of free subscription are provided through Honda Connect.
Safety and Warranty
Features like 6 airbags, electronic stability control, hill start assist, ABS with EBD and brake assist are standard in the new Amaze. It is made from 45% high-tensile steel.
Competition
This car will give tough competition to Maruti Suzuki Dezire, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor. Desire is leading the segment with 61% share.
