Holi Special Vande Bharat Trains Starts Today: Check Route, Stations, Dates
Indian Railways has announced a dedicated Vande Bharat Express service between New Delhi and Patna from March 8 to March 21 to accommodate increased passenger demand during Holi. This train will stop at key stations, including Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Ballia, Chhapra, and Patliputra Junction, ensuring seamless connectivity.
According to East Central Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO), Saraswati Chandra, the 16-coach Vande Bharat Express will run daily except Mondays, departing from New Delhi at 8:30 AM and reaching Patna at 10:30 PM. The return journey from Patna will commence at 5:30 AM, except on Tuesdays, reaching New Delhi at 8:10 PM.
14 Additional Holi-Special Trains Announced
To further ease travel congestion, Indian Railways is introducing 14 additional Holi-special trains, bringing the total number of festival-special trains to 25. These include:
Delhi-Patna Superfast Express (March 7-17)
Departs New Delhi at 11:35 PM, arrives in Patna at 4:40 PM the next day.
Returns from Patna at 5:50 PM, reaching New Delhi at 10:25 AM.
Anand Vihar-Rajgir Special (March 7, 11, 14, and 18)
Departs Anand Vihar at 12:30 AM, reaching Patna at 4:15 PM and Rajgir at 7:50 PM.
Returns from Rajgir at 11:30 PM, reaching Anand Vihar at 7:00 PM the next day.
