HMD pulse series details leaked, check out expected specifications and more
For a long time, it has been reported that HMD Global, renowned for its Nokia-branded phones, will be venturing into the Indian smartphone market with its own-branded smartphones by April 2024. Now, some recent leaks have offered a glimpse into the design and specifications of the upcoming devices, stirring up excitement amongst tech enthusiasts.
Finnish online publication Suomimobiili leaked a render of what appears to be the rear design of an upcoming HMD smartphone. The render showcases a woman holding a Cyan-colored HMD Global phone, featuring a rectangular camera module with two circular rings and the intriguing engraving that says “108MP OIS camera.” This leak, believed to be from the official website, has sparked speculation about the upcoming device’s capabilities and features.
In addition to this, renowned tipster Evan Blass had also disclosed codenames for the initial lineup of HMD-branded phones, including Pulse, Legend, Pulse+, Legend Plus, Pulse Pro, and Legend Pro. These devices are expected to cater to the budget and mid-range segments, promising a seamless stock Android experience straight out of the box.
Coming to the HMD Pulse series, it is expected to comprise of three smartphones: Pulse, Pulse+, and Pulse Pro. The vanilla Pulse model is rumoured to feature a T606 system chip developed by Unisoc, paired with 4 or 8 gigabytes of RAM, and might run on Android 14.
Meanwhile, the Pulse+ variant is expected to sport a 6.56-inch display and come in a stylish Midnight Blue colour, with the possibility of additional colour options. It is also expected to offer 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, promising a seamless user experience.
As for the HMD Pulse Pro, it might be available in a 6GB+128GB variant, offering consumers a choice between Twilight Purple, Black Ocean, and Glacier Green colours.
While most details of the phones have been kept under the wraps, we might hear more as we get closer to the launch date.
In addition to this, HMD Global seems have plans to expand its product lineup with a new addition – the Dual Port Wall Charger 30W. This charger, expected to come in sleek black, is anticipated to offer fast and efficient charging for multiple devices simultaneously. Priced at €25, it aims to provide users with an affordable yet high-quality charging solution.
