Hisar: Farmer dies due to pesticide exposure

In village Dhani Piran of Hansi area, a young farmer who returned home after spraying pesticide in his fields died due to the effects of the spray. Due to difficulty in breathing due to the pesticide sprayed in the crop, his family admitted him to a private hospital in Hansi for treatment, where he died during treatment late on Tuesday night. The body was handed over to the family after post-mortem on Wednesday.

Amarchand, father of the deceased, told on Wednesday that his son Hemant had gone to the field on Tuesday evening to spray pesticide on the tomato crop standing in the field and after spraying pesticide on the crop, Hemant returned home in the evening and had food. After doing that he went to sleep. Amarchand told that at around 11 pm, Hemant started having trouble breathing. After which he was admitted to a private hospital in the city for treatment where he died during treatment. Hemant was married and had a four-year-old son. Hemant used to do farming in the village itself.
