High Court News : Female employees will get menstrual leave, High Court announcement
Sikkim high court has announced to give menstrual leave to women employees. The verdict of the court came on the eve of Menstrual Hygiene Day and is said to be highly commendable. The notification was issued on Tuesday after getting the approval of Chief Justice Biswanath Somaddar. In this, it has been announced to give 2 to 3 days leave in a month to female employees during menstruation.

According to a notification issued by Sikkim High Court Registrar General Prajwal Khatiwada, women employees in the High Court Registry can now avail 2 to 3 days of menstrual leave in a month. But for this they have to first contact the Medical Officer concerned with HC. After that a recommendation letter has to be taken for such leave. The notification states that after taking such leave, your other leave will not be affected.
