Hero Xtreme: Hero Xtreme 160R launched in the market with new color and features

Hero Xtreme – Hero MotoCorp has launched the 2024 version of the Xtreme 160R 4V in India on July 25. The new model features fresh colours, graphics, and advanced safety features. The company says it is India’s first bike in the 160CC category to feature features like panic brake alert and drag race timer.
More comfortable than before
After the upgrade, the bike has become more comfortable, safer and feature-rich than before. The bike is available in just one variant and comes in three colour options: Kevlar Brown (new), Neon Shooting Star, and Stealth Black.
Price | Hero Xtreme
The Neon Shooting Star and Stealth Black are priced at Rs 1,38,500, while the Kevlar Brown is priced at Rs 1,39,500 (both prices ex-showroom). The updated Hero Xtreme 160R will compete with models like the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar and Yamaha FZS-FI.
Golden Graphics
The 2024 Hero Extreme 160R 4V now features a new dual-tone Kevlar brown and black color with golden graphics all around. For comfortable riding, the company has removed the split-seat and used a single-piece seat. It has an LED headlight and daytime running light at the front.
New Tail Section | Hero Xtreme
The new Extreme 160R 4V has a new tail section, which includes a new design of the rear panel and taillight. The taillight also has an emergency stop signal, which gets activated when sudden braking is applied. Apart from this, the bike also has a drag timer on the instrument console, which is used to measure the speed of the bike.
Diamond-type frame
The bike is built on a diamond-type frame, and now features KYB inverted forks and a 7-step preload-adjustable monoshock. For safety, there are 276mm petal discs at the front and 220mm petal disc brakes at the rear, and dual-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS) is standard. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels that come with 100/80 tubeless tyres at the front and 130/70 tubeless tyres at the rear.
Diamond-Type Frame | Hero Xtreme
There has been no change in the engine of the bike. It has a 163CC single-cylinder oil-cooled engine, which generates 16.6hp of power and 14Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm.
This engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox unit. The bike complies with OBD-2 standards and can run on E20 petrol (20% ethanol blended petrol).
More features
The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V features a fully digital instrument console, which includes all-LED lighting and smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. It has over 25 features, including safety features like call and text alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, trip details, malfunction alert, ignition alert, over-speed alert, theft alert, battery removal alert, and remote immobilization. The console also shows speed, odometer, tachometer, fuel level, gear position, clock, and taillights.
