GTA 6 Release Date May Not Be Pushed From 2025 To 2026, Claims New Report Amid Delay Rumours
GTA 6 release date is one of the most commonly searched terms on search engines, and it is understandable. Rockstar Games previously announced the new title through the GTA 6 trailer, which hinted at Vice City gameplay with improved aesthetics, graphics, protagonists, and so on.
According to Rockstar Games, the release date for GTA 6 is set for 2025, but a previous Kotaku report claimed that the game could be delayed and released in 2026.
According to Mike Straw of Insider Gaming, Rockstar Games will release the game on time and without any delays. Taking to X, Mike Straw stated that the GTA 6 release will not be delayed. “Saying this again since people are still running with it: I’ve reached out to multiple sources and was told the game was “on schedule” and that any suggestion of a delay at this point in development is “pure conjecture,” he said.
On the other hand, according to the Kotaku report, GTA 6 development is slipping behind schedule, and while the firm is still aiming for a 2025 release, there is a chance that the promised launch date will be missed, and the game will be launched in 2026. However, Mike Straw claims that the launch can still take place in the first quarter of 2025.
The latest rumours support those made by Reddit member u/JarlOfRivia, who stated that GTA 6 will launch in January or February of 2025. The latest rumour surfaced after it was revealed that GTA 6 Trailer 2 would be forthcoming and that Rockstar Games was changing a page on their website from Trailer 1 to “Videos.”
The GTA 6 is scheduled to be launched initially on consoles such as the PlayStation and Xbox, with PCs receiving it much later. This is supported by the fact that Rockstar Games always releases games for consoles first, followed by PC versions some months later. However, nothing is definite at this time.
