Goods train derailed on Gaya-Dhanbad section back on track after 20 hours, action to be taken after inquiry

BIHAR NEWS: Work was carried out on war-time basis to re-rail the goods train that derailed near Rasalpur Gumdi near Manpur on the Gaya-Dhanbad railway section within 20 hours. Amarendra Kumar, additional general manager (AGM) of Bhumre, Jayant Kumar Chowdhury, TRM of Danapur and principal chief security officer along with local officials reached the spot and conducted an investigation. Subsequently, on Monday afternoon at around 12.30 o'clock, the work of bringing the derailed freight train back to the track was carried out. Bandua-Phimar Bypass Railway has not started operations. However, the train service on the Bandua-Phimar Bypass railway line has not been started. Railway officials said that work on the Bandhuwa-Phimar Bypass railway line has not started. Railway tracks are being inspected with modern machinery. Freight trains will be operated once the investigation is over. Eight wagons of a freight train carrying coal from Dhanbad to Parh Thermal Power Station in Bihar derailed near Rasalpur Gumdi on Sunday evening at 4.30 pm. During this period, movement of passenger, mail and express trains was affected at different stations of the Gaya-Dhanbad railway section. 8 wagons of the goods train derailed in this accident. However, no casualties were reported. But the incident caused panic among the passengers at the Rasalpur railway gate. After the accident, the railway officials reached the spot and with the help of a crane were engaged in repairing the derailed bogie. After 20 hours, the railway officials breathed a sigh of relief. Danapur DRM Jayant Kumar Chaudhary along with Principal Chief Security Officer and local officials reached the spot and conducted an investigation. During this, the driver, co-driver and watchmen along with local officials and staff were interrogated. After the investigation, further action will be taken. However, the investigation is still ongoing. After submission of inquiry report, action will be taken by higher authorities. A railway line from Gaya to Manpur, Rasalpur, Bandhuwa and Baimar is being studied. The investigation will be repeated after the investigation.
