Gensol Engineering appoints Kapil K Nirmal as CEO for Middle East, Solar EPC business

In his new role, the company said, Kapil K Nirmal will spearhead the region’s expansion for Gensol navigating market complexities, ensuring sustainable growth, and establishing Gensol as a prominent player in the Middle East solar PV sector. He has over 18 years of experience in business development, new market establishments, and avenues, along with the successful implementation of key projects, having held several positions across top organisations like Emirates Electrical Engineering LLC, Al Rostamani Group, Siraj Power Contracting LLC and Amplus Energy Solutions.

Gensol has a track record of over 600 MW in diverse solar projects, including rooftop, ground-mounted, and floating installations across India. These projects have been completed for a wide range of clients, including commercial, industrial, and public sector units, under both turkey and balance-of-system arrangements.

Kapil K Nirmal’s experience in creating strategies for developing 5 GW+ Solar PV projects globally, along with designing and engineering experience of 1 GW+ Solar PV will be vital to Gensol’s success in the region.

Kapil K Nirmal is an alumnus of the University of Cambridge and IIM Calcutta. He has done a specialised course in Business and Climate Change: Towards Net Zero Emissions from Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership from University of Cambridge, and has received a certification for Emerging Sustainable Technology Expert by The European Energy Center (EEC).
