From curtains to private life, Madhuri Dixit made interesting revelations
The pink city of Rajasthan is currently drenched in the glare of Bollywood. Away from Mumbai, a large part of the film industry is engaged in Jaipur these days. The grand event of the IIFA Awards 2025 is starting from 8 March, but its enthusiasm started appearing from March 7. On the eve of IIFA, a special discussion was organized on the role of women in Indian cinema and their journey. In this discussion, veteran actress Madhuri Dixit and famous filmmaker Guneet Monga shared their important opinion.
Madhuri Dixit expressed happiness over the increasing participation of women in Indian cinema, she said, “In our era, the film set only our co-actor and hair dresser.” Women were not seen in any department. It was also a big thing to have a female director at that time, because the presence of women in the industry was very limited. But when I returned to the set after a long time, I saw women working in every department. You feel proud to see this change.
Madhuri spoke openly about her personal life-she said, when I was not married, I used to do a lot of work. I used to shoot in 3-3 shifts a day. But after marriage, I have lived my life completely. Today the life I am living with my husband and children is no less than a dream.
Madhuri said about women -oriented films, there was a time when I did many women -centric films like 'Mritya Paid' and 'Son'. Many people advised me to do commercial cinema while doing 'death penalty', but I did this film because it talked about women empowerment. Today it is a pleasure to see that many such films are being made, whose stories are women. This change did not come in a day, but had to travel a long way for it.
Madhuri danced on her superhit song, she said, many films and actresses who have been playing a strong role for a long time. Also, those women are also the reasons for this change, who are working hard behind the curtain. After the end of the event, Madhuri also performed a great dance on her superhit song 'Ek and three'. Madhuri Dixit is going to perform this year at the IIFA Award. Apart from him, Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor will also rock the stage .———-
