Pakistan News: At least four army personnel were killed and three others injured in an IED blast in Pakistan's restive northwest region, police said on Saturday.
The incident took place late Friday evening when security forces were patrolling the Sara Bangla and Tarkhanan areas of the country's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Police said at least four Pakistani army personnel were killed and three others injured in the IED blast. The injured were immediately admitted to the hospital.
After the incident, security forces were sent to the spot and cordoned off the entire area. A search operation has been launched to nab the culprits involved in the blast.
Police said, “The deceased soldiers have been identified as Zubair, Ejaz, Faisal and Asif while the injured have been identified as Qadir, Najeeb and Rehman. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the blast.” (pti)
