Washington. Donald Trump has suffered a major setback just before the presidential election. The court has convicted Donald Trump on all 34 charges in the hush money case. The court deliberated for about 10 hours before passing the verdict. The hearing on Trump’s punishment will be held on July 11. Trump has described this decision as shameful and rigged. After the court convicted Donald Trump in the hush money case, this is the first such case in the history of America when a criminal case was filed against a current or former president and he was convicted. Former President Donald Trump is the US presidential candidate from the Republican Party. Trump has 34 charges of hiding the fact of paying money (hush money) to porn star Stormy Daniels in exchange for keeping quiet before the 2016 presidential election and manipulating his business records. After being convicted, Trump’s candidature in the US presidential election to be held in November this year may be questioned. Although there is no law in the US Constitution to prevent candidates with criminal records from contesting elections, a person in jail can also contest the presidential election.
