Erik Solheim wrote on the social media platform X – Exit polls are predicting a landslide victory for Prime Minister Modi when the results come out on June 4. If the polls are correct, then this is an almost unprecedented vote of confidence in the government after ten years. Perhaps now the time has come that the Western media should reconsider the negative coverage it is doing under the narrative about India and Modi.
The foreign minister had raised questions on the western media
Western media keeps doing anti-India and anti-Modi coverage from time to time. India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar had retaliated and raised questions regarding the coverage of foreign media. The Foreign Minister had said that Western media considers itself a political player in India, hence it criticizes India’s democracy.
