Live Hindi News :- It has been revealed that 11 private schools in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh charged extra tuition fees worth up to Rs 100 crore. Jabalpur District Collector Deepak Saxena ordered a fine of Rs 2 lakh each on these private schools. The District Collector ordered that the amount taken in violation of fee rules should be returned to the parents within 30 days and strict action will be taken in case of violation.

51 people have been accused in this case as board members, school principals and administrators of the respective schools. Of these, 20 have been arrested so far. 11 First Information Reports have been filed against these 11 private schools in nine police stations under Jabalpur district administration. Jabalpur District Collector Deepak Saxena told reporters, this is the first time that such action has been taken against schools in Madhya Pradesh. These schools are involved in corruption of up to Rs 100 crore by increasing education fees several times and making illegal collections.

The investigation began on April 1. In the first phase, 11 private schools were found to be operating in violation of the School Fee Regulation Act. If schools want to increase tuition fees by more than 10 percent, it is mandatory to take the approval of the District Collector. If it is sought to be increased by more than 15 percent, the approval of the state level committee is necessary. But the concerned schools did not follow any such rule. The investigation found that these schools have illegally collected Rs 81.3 crore.
Textbook Malpractice: Till now, fake and copied books with ISBN numbers have been included in the curriculum. Changes in the curriculum are informed to parents at the last minute without any prior notice. As a result, an environment was artificially created where specific books of the new curriculum were not available in the book market. Then the books are sold at twice the MRP only in the stores associated with the schools. These 11 schools have collected Rs 4 crore extra from the parents through such book scam scheme. Apart from this, the school management has been involved in financial irregularities by submitting fake accounts in the account case. This is what he said.
