Field is a game, fight is politics… Why is Vinesh Phogat's disqualification called a conspiracy?
India's politics is in turmoil after female wrestler Vinesh Phogat's exit from the Olympic finals. From Parliament to social media, opposition parties have been attacking the federation and the government over the issue. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has called Phogat's decision not to play in the final a conspiracy and demanded an inquiry. AAP MP Sanjay Singh has asked the government to act strictly. Farmer leader Rakesh Dikait said that this is a conspiracy of the federation and the government. All those who stayed with Vinesh should be investigated. The federation said Bogat's failure to play in the final was a loss to the country. However, the federation and the government have not said anything about the conspiracy angle. Amidst the claims of the opposition parties and the silence of the federal government, the question arises why politicize the Vinesh Phogat issue. Find out first why Bogut left? Vinesh Phogat had reached the finals at the Olympics. He was considered certain to play in the final. Meanwhile, there were reports that Vinesh would not be able to play in the tournament due to his weight. Vinesh's weight was around 150 grams and over 50 kg. According to Olympic rules, wrestlers can only be exempted from the category up to 100 grams. Vinesh used to play in the 50 kg category. How did politics start in Bogat? Politics has been intense ever since Vinesh Phogat made it to the finals, but the news that he was not allowed to play in the finals due to his weight came out with a statement from Vinesh's father – Law. Speaking to TV-9 Bharatvarsh, Vinesh's father-in-law Rajpal Rathi said that this was done as part of a conspiracy. How did this happen so suddenly? Shortly after Rathi's statement, there was an uproar in Parliament regarding this matter. Pappu Yadav, Chandrasekhar, Asaduddin Owaisi and Harendra Malik from the opposition side besieged the government in the Lok Sabha. These MPs claim that Vinesh was deliberately targeted. AAP MP Sanjay Singh tweeted and asked the government to be serious about the matter. Singh has said that this matter must be dealt with strictly. If the International Olympic Association does not accept the Indian government's demand, it should be ignored. SP leader Akhilesh Yadav has insisted that a full investigation should be conducted in this regard. Akhilesh said that there should be an in-depth investigation into the technical reasons behind Vinesh Bhogat's inability to play in the final and ascertain the truth and the real reason. Why politics in Bogat? 1. RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN VINESH AND BJP Last year, Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik led a protest at Delhi's Jandar Mantar. This protest was held against the then BJP MP Brij Bhushan. Wrestlers said that Brij Bhushan made Indian wrestling ugly. During this time, Brijbhushan Charan Singh was also sexually harassed. The wrestlers have demanded that he be removed from the federation and strict action should be taken against him. However, many of the wrestlers' demands were not accepted. Vinesh Phogat and other wrestlers also protested. Eventually, under an agreement, the sports ministry disbanded the federation. When Vinesh made it to the finale on Tuesday, his partner Bajrang Punia also made a post. Bajrang wrote- India's lion Vinesh Phogat defeated the 4-time world champion and reigning Olympic champion in a match again today. He then beat the former world champion in the quarterfinals, but can I tell you something? This little girl was crushed by kicks in her country. This woman was dragged through the streets in her country. This woman was going to conquer the world but was defeated by the establishment in this country. 2. Assembly elections in Haryana from Vinesh Phogat, Assembly elections are due later this year. Congress and BJP alliance parties are contesting in this election which will be held in 90 constituencies in the state. Vinesh's Jat community is politically dominant in Haryana politics. Haryana Jats constitute about 20-22 percent of the population. According to CSTS, the Congress got 61 percent of the votes of the Jats in the recent Lok Sabha elections. 27 percent of Jats voted in favor of BJP.
