Expressing concern over attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh, Sadhguru seeks protection from the Indian government
Satguru Vasudev Jaki, a prominent spiritual guru and head of the Isha Foundation, has expressed deep concern over the targeting of Hindus in the violence in Bangladesh. Atrocities against Hindus is not only an internal matter of Bangladesh, India should take positive steps in this direction, he said. On social media X, Sadhguru shared a long post on the relations and history of India and Bangladesh and said it should be our responsibility to ensure the safety of minorities in our neighboring country. Spiritual Guru Sadhguru said that Bangladesh was once a part of this nation but unfortunately today it has become a neighboring country. In his social media post, the spiritual leader urged India to protect Bangladeshi Hindus. Atrocities against Hindus are not only an internal matter of #Bangladesh. Bharat cannot become Mahabharata if we do not stand up and act to ensure the safety of the minorities around us. Violent protests forced former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to resign and flee the country, taking temporary refuge in India. Many of Sheikh Hasina's party leaders have been killed in the protests. Miscreants are targeting Hasina's properties and her supporters. In his post, Sadhguru also shared some media clippings reporting on attacks on Hindus. Seeing this situation, our neighboring country is stuck in an unfortunate situation where we all will ensure that the fear of rising religious extremism never affects our dear India, said Sadhguru. However, India should try to prevent the spread of religious extremism, he said.
